Cultivating Our Collective Power

Tools for Community, Care, & Resistance

A Virtual Workshop Series Hosted By

Rex Wilde, Crystal Whiteaker, and Erin-Kate Escobar

Join us April 16, 23, 30, and May 7th

If you’ve been feeling like it’s harder and harder to be a human at work right now, you’re not imagining it.

Between rising fascism, dehumanizing capitalist norms, and the pressure to “perform professionalism,” many of us are stretched beyond what’s sustainable. We need spaces that honor the truth of what we’re living through and help us remember we’re not alone.

Whether you're leading an organization through funding uncertainty, managing diverse teams in fast-paced environments, or working in tech while trying to create positive change, this series gives you concrete tools to build power with—not over—your communities.

The Sessions

Placeholder — Descriptions here about the workshop series as a whole

  • This opening session lays the groundwork for an honest, compassionate series about what it means to be a human under rising fascism while working inside corporate and business-centered systems.

Together, we’ll co-create community agreements, arrive with a simple grounding practice, and get to know your facilitators, our stories, and what keeps us rooted in this work.

Through small-group breakouts and shared reflection, you’ll explore what feels most challenging right now, where you’re finding hope, and why community is essential to surviving and resisting dehumanizing systems.

  • In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn body-based movement, emotional tending, and grounding practices to help you meet overwhelm with presence and compassion—for yourself, your team, and the people you serve.

We’ll explore stress cycles, try on simple “tools and toys” you can use in real time, and practice trauma-informed invitations that honor autonomy and build trust.

You’ll leave with a personalized menu of strategies you can use daily to move from hyper-alert to more regulated and resourced.

  • You don’t have to declare yourself as brave to be a brave leader.

Brave leadership is embodied when we align our values with our actions in a way that honors diverse lived experiences and human dignity. The world can often feel overwhelming for compassionate leaders, however, we are not alone in our commitment and desire to build a more socially conscious world.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to use your core values as a foundation for every decision you make – helping you to embody brave leadership in your advocacy and relationship building. Finally, you’ll come away with actionable tools to create clear, sustainable commitments that reflect your values.

  • Bringing together all we have learned from sessions 1-3, this session will focus on utilizing these new skills to take measurable action in our local communities.

During the session, we will explore questions such as:

    • How do we show up for ourselves?

    • How do we show up for others?

    • How do we take sustainable action?

    • How do we navigate the unknown?

    • How do I measure my impact?

Through case studies, breakout groups, and personal reflection, we will practice strategic responses to everyday scenarios and create a personal action plan for ease and integrity in how you show up for yourself and your community.
